Russell Bush is a New York City based artist working in collage, drawing, and alternative process photography.

Bush was born, raised, and initially schooled in Pennsylvania. Using his artistic training as a basis for his vocations, he went on to pursue illustrious careers - first as a fashion designer, then an interior designer - most notably as principal of Russell Bush Design & Decoration, as head of the interiors department at Peter Marino + Associates, and as a "helper" for Diana Vreeland at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.

He has studied almost every photographic process, from daguerreotype to digital, at the International Center of Photography and at the Penumbra Foundation's Center for Alternative Photography. Bush's work is an intuitive evolution, working with the cues of each particular medium, and draws its varied imagery from his travels and vast knowledge of antiques, global textiles, printed ephemera and world currencies.
